"It Looks Like a Kiss..."

"Maybe you should write about it."

He said those words as He admired a bruise on my right hip, a bruise left-over from a beating that took place more than a week ago, a bruise that despite it's age, is still very dark and very purple.

"It looks like a kiss," He added.

I looked at it in the mirror, and He was right.  It looks like a dark purple kiss.

However, the point in all of this is His words, not the bruise.  This was the first time in a very, very long time that's He's mentioned the blog, and my response was to sort of shrug and declare that I didn't know what to do with this place.

And I don't, really, which is the reason for my prolonged absence.  I find my writing to be repetitious and boring, which annoys me greatly as our life is anything but repetitious and boring, yet I am unable to convey that through the written word.

But it doesn't matter what I think about this blog, does it?

He likes it.  He likes to read what I write.  So, if He wants me to write, then I will write, because pleasing Him pleases me.

And in case anyone is wondering why the bruise in question is on my right hip and NOT on my right butt-cheek, well, that's because during the beating He decided it would be cool to give me a racing stripe by smacking me on the side with the cane.  Yeah, I know...

See?  Things are pretty much still the same around here.

X Marks the Spot...

This is my 100th post, and no, it will not be monumental or extraordinary.  Like the other 99 that came before it, it will just be another post.

So, let's see...in January I made a concerted effort to blog more frequently, and I was successful.  Then January ended, and so did the success:  blogging ground to a halt.

Maybe January was just too cold for my writing muse, so she packed a bag and headed to Miami or someplace warm.  I don't blame her; I'm over this winter and cold weather. Spring can come along any day now. Tomorrow would be good for me.

As for He and I, we are doing just fine, and lately the sex has been amazing.  Seriously amazing, even when it is of the vanilla variety, it's amazing.

There has been some kinky sex, too.  Two days ago He bent me over the end of the bed and secured my hands to the headboard using a long length of purple rope.  He then proceeded to rake His fingernails across my back, diagonally,so that the red marks left behind formed an 'X'.

When it was over, He told me the scratching had gone on for ten minutes (yes, He watched the clock).  I was surprised; ten minutes seems so long, but in the moment, time seemed to fly by quickly.  Perhaps that's because I enjoy that activity so much.  The pain is much different from a caning or a paddling.  It's deep, it burns, it hurts, and I just float away on it.

Anyway, that's where we are, here at the end of February.  Let's hope my muse returns for March.

One Year Later...

It's a little late in the day, but I just realized that my little blog is one year old today.  So, Happy Blogiversary to me!

Slight bump in the road

Well, that was fun.  At some point yesterday afternoon, Blogger decided my account was spam and terminated it.  ???  This caused a huge time-suck, as I spent almost an hour trying to figure out how to appeal the termination.  Grrrr.   But as you can see, I won my appeal, and my blog is back in place.

Today we are off to the Big City so I can spoil Master for Christmas.  Maybe He will let me post a photo of our purchases once we return, then you can see how much I indulge Him.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Thanks to you...and you...and you...and you...

This blog is one week old today, and what a learning experience it has been.  With a fair amount of trial-and-error (and a small amount of swearing), I managed to learn my way around Blogger.  After it ate one of my posts, I learned to write with Word Pad so I could save my work and then transfer it over (again, with a small amount of swearing).  Mostly, though, it's been fun, and Master is enjoying it, and that's what really counts.

My one week-old tenure in the blog world has given me something else besides learning what RSS is (seriously did not know, sigh).  It's given me a new appreciation for the writers of the blogs where I so frequently lurk.  I appreciate your dedication to writing on a regular basis and your willingness to be so open and to share such intimate parts of your life, the good and the bad.  A tip of my hat to all of you, and my thanks.

And yes, I used the "L" word up there--I am a big-time lurker.  There are blogs I have read for several years, and I have never come out of the dark and into the light world of commenters, not even on LOL day.  I can't explain why; often I don't feel as if I have anything useful to add to the conversation.  Plus, I commented on one of my favorite blogs one time,  my comment was taken the wrong way, feelings got hurt, and I felt terrible.

So, what is my point with all of this?  I guess to thank the bloggers that I read, to apologize for being such a professional lurker, and to state that I will attempt to comment more often (key word, attempt.  No promises.  Lurking can be a hard habit to break.).
